shrch Cheesy Shrimp Chowder - This succulent, creamy, shrimp chowder recipe, uses the irreplacable Velveeta cheese, mixed with milk, for its thick rich texture. We also added some garden fresh potatoes and onions in with the shrimp, so you could almost eat it with a fork!

Cook Time: 35-40 mins
Servings: 4
Main Ingredient: Shrimp
Difficulty Level: 1

Ingredients to make Cheesy Shrimp Chowder

2 lg. onions, peeled and diced
1/4 lb. butter
4 lg. potatoes, peeled and diced
2 c. boiling water
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb. Velveeta cheese
1 1/2 pt. milk
1 lb. shrimp, cooked and shelled
Fresh parsley

Directions to make Cheesy Shrimp Chowder

Step 1:Lightly cook onions in butter. Add potatoes and boiling water. Simmer until potatoes are tender and season to taste. Melt cheese in milk and add to potatoes and onions.
Step 2:Add shrimp and simmer gently for 20 minutes or more. Do not boil.
Step 3:Place snipped parsley in bottom of each bowl and fill with chowder
